Pfizer Inc. has entered into a licensing agreement with American Online Pharmacy International LLC, which is owned by Pfizer, to sell pharmaceutical products that are designed to treat erectile dysfunction. The agreement will allow Pfizer to create a licensed online pharmacy that is able to offer products that are approved by regulatory agencies such as the FDA and the European Medicines Agency (EMA).
The new online pharmacy will also be able to sell the product, which can be purchased at an affordable price with a valid U. S. pharmacy card.
The terms of the licensing agreement were published on August 22, 2018.
The announcement follows a lengthy review of the details of the deal, including how the two companies will operate and how they are going to develop and market the products. The review revealed that Pfizer had agreed to acquire the rights to a company called Teva Pharmaceuticals USA. This company is the US-based company that makes Viagra, Cialis, Levitra and Spedra.
Pfizer's U. rights to Viagra will expire in September 2018, but Teva will continue to manufacture and sell the product. Pfizer is currently testing the product for safety in the United States.
Pfizer has been seeking out a competitor for Viagra, Cialis, and Levitra. While Cialis and Levitra are the most commonly used drugs for erectile dysfunction, Pfizer has been looking into several alternative products that it could possibly make available to consumers.
For the third quarter of 2018, Pfizer was listed with the following shares of company: $1.77 (3,238.56MG); $3.24 (1,079.88); $4.07 (3,092.98); $5.97 (1,054.07); $6.97 (3,076.83); $7.97 (3,039.87); $8.97 (2,005.04); and $9.97 (1,086.97).
According to the agreement, Teva will acquire exclusive rights for Viagra, Cialis, Levitra and Spedra to Pfizer for $3.76 per share and Cialis and Levitra for $1.99 per share. Cialis, Viagra and Levitra will be sold exclusively at the pharmacy.
The two companies are not listed as separate companies in the deal.
